At Farmhouse biscuits we pride ourselves on being traditional. We love our old family recipes, we love the finest ingredients, we love traditional baking methods and above all that we simply love baking biscuits.
Even though our surroundings have changed over the years our biscuits still have that traditional homemade taste and feel which makes them extra special. Why change the habits of a lifetime?
About Us
What We Do
We are exceptionally proud of the reputation we have built over the last 60 years, with a bank of over 1400 recipes which grows daily we can produce a biscuit to suit most tastes. From Luxury butter biscuits to savoury, sugar free, gluten free and even deliciously coated chocolate biscuits there isn’t a biscuit we won’t try to make.
We specialise in batch baking, making 200kg batches, using traditional baking methods. Our biscuits are formed using wire cut, rotary moulded and deposited methods to make the perfect biscuit. We are especially proud of our segregated Gluten Free bakery which produces the most wonderful gluten free sweet and savoury biscuits.

Meet Our Founders
In 1962, 12 weeks of snow resulted in a real struggle for these newly wed farmers. Dorothy and Philip’s mother Lillian took the van to Blackburn Market, with 60 dozen eggs and 12 chickens that wouldn’t have survived the night. On two trestles, with five planks and a tablecloth, one of Lancashire’s greatest comebacks began. Fourteen pounds in takings sent them back on Friday and Saturday and then an idea struck home. Dorothy and their two mums set to at baking. The Farmhouse kitchen became a bakery and how glad we are that it did!
