Baking the finest, traditionally made biscuits since 1962.
The Farmhouse Biscuits story.
1962
Farmhouse Biscuits began in 1962, amidst the snowy fields of Higher Oaklands Farm, where Philip and Dorothy McIvor transformed winter adversity into opportunity.
With the help of mothers Lillian and Mary, they crafted and sold biscuits, establishing what would become a cherished Lancashire institution.
Starting with a van of eggs and chickens bound for Blackburn Market, Dorothy’s idea to bake biscuits set the family on a journey that soon turned a farmhouse kitchen into a bustling bakery.
1973
In 1973, Farmhouse Biscuits shifted focus exclusively to biscuit production, devoting itself to family recipes and traditional methods.
1978
1978, a need for more space prompted a move to Nelson, Lancashire, where our biscuits have been crafted with the same dedication to quality ever since.
